Friday - July 6, 2018 Hastings to Peterborough - 1 lock
We'll spend the weekend here as advised. The weekend boaters and jet-skiers make boating for Loopers a bit too congested so we stay put.

Centennial Fountain shoots a stream of water 250 feet in the air so that
it is the same height as the Peterborough Lift Lock |

These cows were there for auction |
Besides the butter tarts in Ontario, the locals also suggest trying beaver tails. We were not able to find tails but we found beaver balls.

Basically its a cinnamon sugar donut hole |
Our first raggae concert.
Our marina in Peterborough is right next to the town-green that was hosting the free concert and Zoey's Adventure was docked on the wall . We were maybe 300 feet from the stage, ringside seats from our aft-deck.We were told that 10,000 concert fans would be in attendance. It was a perfect warm summer night and the fans came in droves. Must say from what we could see both from the boat and walking through the crowd, everyone was well behaved. Next morning you would never have known there was a 10,000 fan concert in the park. It ended at 9:30 PM on the button, town ordinance.

We were tied up to the wall right under the restaurant |
