Trenton to Frankford - 6 Locks

Distances from Lock #1
Our first day on the Trent-Severn Waterway.
First stop is at the fuel dock. After waiting almost an hour for 2 boat to get fuel before us it was our turn. Wouldn't you know it as we took on fuel they ran out. So we only put 40 gallons in one tank and 0 in the other. So after 1 1/2 hours we finally get underway with 6 locks in a 7 mile stretch, basically one after another and the day was HOT and humid. To make thing even worse, the lock-master at Lock #4 asked us to tie up after exiting his lock because the next lock had some type of power issues, so we waited again a little more then an hour. Fortunately we where able to sit in the shade with a little breeze until the lock-master said it was OK to proceed. At the last lock of the day about 4:30 pm, mind you we left the dock at 9:30 am, we were able to tie up to the last spot on the lock
wall. Oh were we so happy after a such a long hot day.

This would be our first experience tying to a lock wall. After 6 locks in the heat and humidity the wall was a welcome site. We got the last spot on the wall in Frankford. Once tied up and plugged we just stepped off the boat on a nice grassy park like setting complete with picnic tables and grills. I grabbed my  lawn chair and a cold beer and found a nice spot under a tree and chilled out!
